News from Westeros! Just last week, it was announced that the prequel series House of the Dragon had officially started production. The cast members congregated around a large table for their first table read. But now, we have an official look at some of the main characters in costume.
House of the Dragon is based on George R. R. Martin’s Fire & Blood and will tell the story of House Targaryen 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones. You can check out the fantastic images below:
House of the Dragon will be coming to HBO sometime in 2022 and comprises of an absolutely fantastic cast. Rhys Ifans as Otto Hightower, Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower, Matt Smith as Prince Daemon Targaryen, Paddy Considine as King Viserys Targaryen, Steve Toussaint as The Sea Snake (Lord Corlys Velaryon) and Emma D’Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen. Some of these names may not mean a lot to some people, but don’t worry. House of the Dragon will give audiences the chance to familiarize themselves with lesser known and new elements of Game of Thrones. In addition to that, you’ll get to experience the might of the Targaryen family like never before.
