Spider-Man: Brand New Day continues its reign at the top of the Official Film Chart, securing a third consecutive week at Number 1.
Tom Holland’s latest outing as Peter Parker has now established itself as one of the autumn’s strongest home entertainment performers, holding off a major new challenger this week. Picking up after the events of No Way Home, the film finds Peter living in a world where nobody remembers who he is, throwing himself fully into life as Spider-Man while facing the consequences of becoming increasingly isolated from the people he once loved.
Its closest competition comes from Masters of the Universe, which makes an impressive debut at Number 2.
Nicholas Galitzine takes on the role of Prince Adam in the new live-action adventure, returning to Eternia after years away to find his home under the control of Skeletor. Forced to finally embrace his destiny as He-Man, Adam joins forces with Teela and Man-At-Arms in a battle to take back the kingdom and stop Skeletor’s grip on Eternia from becoming permanent.
Last week’s major new arrival Practical Magic 2 remains among the week’s biggest titles, settling at Number 3 after its runner-up debut.
Meanwhile, Obsession enjoys a renewed burst of momentum. The supernatural horror climbs four places into the Top 5, continuing an impressive chart run that has already seen it become one of the most persistent horror releases of recent weeks.
Animated favourites also remain a major force in the countdown. Minions & Monsters moves up to Number 5, while PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie stays close behind as family titles continue to dominate the upper half of the chart.
Former Number 1 Disclosure Day also gains ground this week, climbing two places as Steven Spielberg’s sci-fi thriller maintains its long-running presence in the Top 10.
After making a strong debut last week, Rise of the Footsoldier: Retribution slides down the chart, but remains inside the Top 10.
There’s another notable new arrival further down the countdown as The Death of Robin Hood makes its Official Film Chart debut at Number 9.
Hugh Jackman takes on a darker interpretation of the legendary outlaw, playing an ageing and gravely wounded Robin Hood who is forced to confront a lifetime of violence and bloodshed. After being rescued by a mysterious woman, he is offered the possibility of redemption in a film that reimagines the familiar folklore as a brooding historical drama. Jodie Comer, Bill Skarsgård, Murray Bartlett and Noah Jupe also star.
Rounding out the week is Evil Dead Burn, which remains in the Top 10.
