The Illuminerdi are back with a brand new Marvel casting rumour which should get comic book fans excited.
The group is reporting that the team behind Disney+’s Ms. Marvel series are looking to cast actors to play Kamala Khan’s older brother Aamir, and best friend Nakia Bahadir.
Casting calls have gone out using different names but both these descriptions match the characters from the comics.
“Omar” is a Pakistani American in his mid-to-late 20’s, a practicing Muslim and a self-proclaimed wiser older brother. He is also listed as modern and spirited. “Willow” is a 16 to 20 year old American teenager of Turkish, Moroccan, or Arab decent. Active in student organizations with a love of being in charge, she is described as a hijabi Muslim, woke, popular, stylish and smart.
Sounds pretty similar to us!
Ms. Marvel forms part of Marvel Studios live-action streaming slate which also includes The Falcon & The Winter Soldier, WandaVision, Loki and Hawkeye.
