BOOM! Studios has announced the debut of brand new series The Carvers. Issue #1 of the series, which hails from writer and filmmaker Brendan Boyd, will arrive in comic book stores on February 10, 2027.
The series marks Boyd’s debut comic books series, it follows an orphaned teenager is taken under the wing of The Ideal Family, complete with a manicured lawn, a prestigious mansion—all the works. But the puzzle pieces aren’t falling in the places that we expect, and there’s a different picture forming. In fact, it’s quite the family portrait, far from pristine and splattered with blood.
Breyden Boyd elaborates, “I’ve been working on The Carvers for the last few years. It’s the passion project I never gave up on and the subject of a lot of late-night-turned-early-morning writing sessions. Like any good slasher, it’s been waiting in the shadows for the right time to strike. That time is now. We couldn’t be more excited to let it loose upon the world. If you’re into Halloween, alt rock, puppy dogs, bloodstained sweaters, or just good old-fashioned family bonding time, come party with us!”
