After the series trailer mysteriously disappeared from social media, James Gunn has now shared a new image from Lanterns confirming its August debut. The DC Studios series will premiere on HBO Max on August 16, 2026 in the US and the following day here in the UK.
The series follows new recruit John Stewart (Aaron Pierre) and Lantern legend Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler), two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland.
The new image features the hand of one of the Lanterns, holding their power ring up to the lantern which gives them their power. Take a look at Gunn’s post below:
