The first four episodes of Stranger Things’ final season are now streaming globally. But with four more episodes still to come Netflix isn’t backing down on its huge marketing campaign. With UK viewers now waiting until Boxing Day – aka December 26 – for episode 5, 6 and 7 we’re taking a look at some of the promo activities you can get involved in to avoid new episode withdrawal.

    Radio WSQK The Squawk

Broadcasting direct to your airwaves…today sees the launch of a major partnership between Stranger Things and Global. Introducing Hawkins’ own radio station: WSQK ‘The Squawk’, brought to life for UK fans. From today until January 1st, you will be transported straight into the heart of Hawkins, 24/7. Available on your radio, Global Player or just say ‘play the Squawk’ on your smart speaker.

Fans can expect local Hawkins updates and news from ‘Squawk of the Town’,  chats with the station’s resident agony aunt on ‘Talk To Tammy’, there’s hot gossip and entertainment news from The Scoop brought to you by Scoops Ahoy, name that backwards playing tune with ‘Rewind at 9’ and ‘Dial-a-Dedication’ where fans can submit their own dedication to a loved one which could be read out live on air. All of this and more, alongside a non-stop stream of back-to-back 80s hits!

PLUS – Global will be running a competition to support the station launch. The on air competition will run today on Heart Breakfast giving listeners the chance to win a pair of tickets to Stranger Things: The First Shadow stage play live at the Phoenix Theatre, West End, including a two night stay in London and spending money (up to the total value of £1k). Listen LIVE here.

Additionally, get ready for your city to turn Upside Down! To celebrate the launch of WSQK The Squawk Radio, our totally tubular WSQK van — decked out in Stranger Things style — is hitting Manchester, Liverpool, and Brighton from November 28th through December. We’ll be broadcasting live from the van with ‘80s tunes and Hawkins-inspired chatter.

Swing by for exclusive Stranger Things 5 swag, limited-edition merch. Snap a pic, hang with the squad, and soak up the electric retro vibes. Rally your party—this is one tour you don’t want to miss before it vanishes into the night!

    Upside Down Christmas Trees

This Christmas, fans should prepare for a festive shock as the Upside Down invades two major UK transport hubs! Today marks the launch of two mind-bending Christmas trees at London Waterloo and Manchester Piccadilly stations, spectacularly transformed to mirror the upside down world of Stranger Things.

Available to experience from today until January 4th, these installations will offer you an immersive, Stranger Things experience, bringing the eerie atmosphere of Hawkins straight into your festive rush.

STRANGER THINGS: CATALYST – SANDBOX VR EXPERIENCE:

Relive the nostalgia of Hawkins, Indiana, and join fellow fans for one last adventure. Expect immersive surprises, familiar memories, and the chance to step inside the world you’ve loved. The signal is out there—will you find it?

Keep your eyes peeled on NetflixUK socials, NERDS.

….AND FINALLY… TICKETS AVAILABLE FOR STRANGER THINGS: THE FIRST SHADOW:

Critically acclaimed, Olivier award-winning Stranger Things: The First Shadow continues its smash hit run at The Phoenix Theatre in the West End.

Brought to life by a multi-award-winning creative team, who take theatrical storytelling and stagecraft to a whole new dimension, Stranger Things: The First Shadow is a gripping adventure that will take you right back to the beginning of the Stranger Things story – and may hold the key to the end.

It’s Hawkins, 1959: a regular town with regular worries. Young Jim Hopper’s car won’t start, Bob Newby’s sister won’t take his radio show seriously and Joyce Maldonado just wants to graduate and get the hell out of town. When new student Henry Creel arrives, his family finds that a fresh start isn’t so easy… and the shadows of the past have a very long reach.

Stranger Things: The First Shadow is written by Kate Trefry and with direction by Stephen Daldry and co-director Justin Martin.
