Horror fans have a massive reason to celebrate this Halloween season as Sky and NOW officially announce the arrival of Crystal Lake. The highly anticipated eight-part prequel series from A24 and showrunner Brad Caleb Kane (It: Welcome to Derry, Tokyo Vice) will drop all episodes simultaneously in the UK and Ireland on Monday 19th October.
Expanding the legendary Friday the 13th universe, the series stars Emmy-winner Linda Cardellini (Dead to Me, DTF St. Louis) as single mother Pam Voorhees. Set nearly a year after her young, sickly son Jason tragically drowned in the town lake, Pam finds herself unable to shake her overwhelming grief. When two strangers arrive at her doorstep prying into her past, a disturbing chain of events is set into motion that leaves the entire town asking: just who is Pam Voorhees?
Blending psychological suspense, mystery, and emotional drama, Crystal Lake dives deep into the origins of one of cinema’s most iconic horror mythologies. Alongside Cardellini, the series cast includes William Catlett, Devin Kessler, Cameron Scoggins, and Gwendolyn Sundstrom.
Showrunner Brad Caleb Kane collaborates with A24, original Friday the 13th writer Victor Miller, and Horror, Inc. to bring this new chapter of the Jason Universe to screens. Executive producers on the project include Marc Toberoff, Victor Miller, Robert M. Barsamian, Robert P. Barsamian, Stuart Manashil, Tyson Bidner, Michael Lennox, and Roy Lee.
UK and Ireland viewers can stream all eight episodes of Crystal Lake exclusively on Sky and NOW on the 19th October.
