Earlier this week the final season of The Flash confirmed a huge roster of returning guest stars for an upcoming episode. One of those names was Stephen Amell, the man who started it all back in 2012 with the debut of Arrow.
It was confirmed that all of the recently announced guests, including Amell and David Ramsey, would be appearing in the 9th episode of the final season. An episode which, unsurprisingly, just entered production.
The episode is being directed by The Flash star Danielle Panabaker who has shared several shots from the set on her social media. But she isn’t the only one to share a behind-the-scenes look. Amell has broken his silence on his return by sharing a backstage image alongside series’ lead Grant Gustin.
“When Barry calls… Oliver answers…” said Amell in the image’s caption. We don’t know if this is a shot of the two dressed as their alter-egos or simply a shot as they arrive on set. Amell’s return is being kept closes under wraps and could take on one of many forms: a flashback to before Oliver’s death, a multiverse resurrection or a return as Spectre. For now we’ll have to wait and see!
The Flash stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West-Allen, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow, Brandon McKnight as Chester P. Runk and Danielle Nicolet as Cecile Horton. The series returns on February 8, 2023.
