Gunslinger Spawn #4 is published by Image Comics, written by Todd McFarlane and illustrated by Brett Booth.

Print copies will be available from 26th January 2022 either directly from Image Comics or from your local comic book store, digital copies will be available to download from the usual content providers.

    Synopsis

The return of the NEW and IMPROVED supervillain…CLOWN!!! This is a clown who is bent on destroying Spawn…but he needs to corrupt Gunslinger Spawn first! And just wait until you see who is fighting at his side.

    Review

Just when I thought the Spawn multiverse couldn’t get any better we are presented with probably the biggest and baddest villain I’ve ever seen. The Clown takes the bad guy image to a whole new level in this issue, along with his pet he is hell bent on destroying Spawn once and for all but first he needs to find a way in which he thinks he may well have found in Gunslinger.

However in true Spawn fashion Gunslinger is going to just lay down quietly and wave the white flag I defeat, the resulting battle between the two are probably the best action sequences I’ve seen in comic form and of course with it being Spawn you just know it isn’t going to be pretty.

The word legend gets thrown around alot but if you think in terms of comic writing you couldn’t find a better word to describe Todd McFarlane, the character and multiverse he has created has captured the minds of many comic fans over the years with a character that is getting stronger and stronger with every new arc released and never feels like it is getting tired.

With such an iconic character to portray I guess it would be kind of difficult to get it right but Brett Booth uses his technical ability to pull it off and hits the mark especially in this issue the shear detail is captivating and really pulls the reader into the dark world giving you the ultimate comic experience.

    Verdict

Gunslinger Spawn is looking set to be the outstanding series of the year. Each issue grows in depth and feeling creating the ultimate reading experience. A definite must have comic.
