News today on a potential reveal of the villain in the upcoming ‘Wonder Woman’ film. An article in the French magazine Studio Cine Live has revealed several behind the scenes images (below) from the set but also includes some exciting news on the films villain.
It has been rumoured for some time that Danny Houston (’30 Days of Night’) would be playing the Greek god Ares. The God of War appears to be after the gas seen in the trailers to use as a weapon against the human race.
“Behind these scientific formulas, there is a deadly gas that could well annihilate humanity. Now, it turns out that this is precisely the goal of Ares, the god of war. He is jealous of humanity, which is a creation of his father, the deceased Zeus (he was killed by Ares when he rebelled against him, with the help of the Amazons)…”

Gal Gadot co-stars in ‘Wonder Woman’ with Chris Pine, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Ewen Bremner, Saïd Taghmaoui, Elena Anaya, Connie Nielsen and Lucy Davis. The film is directed by Patty Jenkins and hits cinemas on June 2nd 2017.
