He wins the award for his work on Batman, Mister Miracle and, of course, Heroes in Crisis. King’s work has been controversial of late with making failing to engage with his wedding between Batman and Catwoman or the attempted exploration of mental health issues explored in Heroes in Crisis. Some sobering news from the set of Titans today as we are saddened to report that a crew member has been killed during rehearsals for an upcoming stunt. According to TMZ, the crew member was special effects coordinator Warren Appleby. The incident happened on Thursday morning as a stunt was being tested in the staging area. A car was supposed to flip on to its side but a piece of metal from a currently unknown source was thrown aside and hit Appleby in the head. He was taken away by ambulance but passed away before reaching hospital according to police…

Yesterday Batman Beyond kicked off a huge comic con weekend with a 20th anniversary panel in Hall H. Stars Will Friedle and Kevin Conroy appeared alongside the legendary Bruce Timm and Andrea Romano to discuss the series legacy. But that wasn’t all.
