Last week, ahead of the return of DC Studios rambunctious Peacemaker, we had the chance to sit down with some of the series cast. We talked dance routines, stunt work and even dug deeper in to some of season 2’s darker, more emotional moments. So today we’re going to be bringing you all of the highlights from each of these sessions.
Already today we’ve shared our chats with David Denman, Danielle Brooks & Freddie Stroma and Sol Rodriguez & Steve Agee. Now it’s the turn of two of DC’s longest running actors, Jennifer Holland and Frank Grillo, to take the spotlight. We asked the pair what it was like working together on season 2, particularly given the complex history which viewers will soon learn the pair have.

Neil (GYCO): Both of your characters have a complex relationship with each other. There’s a lot of history wrapped up in that. I wanted to ask what it was like working with each other on bringing those moments and these character’s history to life?
Frank Grillo (FG): There’s some flashback moments. There’s obviously a lot happening in the present as well. Jen and I had some really intense, intimate scenes that were quite serious and I really dug it. I think we approached it the same way and it was fun to be the new guy on the block. I get to come in and work with her on something that was so deep right off the bat and I think we nailed it.
Jennifer Holland (JH): I think we got it. I had such an amazing time working with [Frank]. I’m a huge, huge fan of Frank. huge fan. I love action. He’s one of the best and so I was like a kid in a candy story getting to work with. I had a great time. We had fun.
Peacemaker stars John Cena, Danielle Brooks, Jennifer Holland, Freddie Stroma, Steve Agee, and Robert Patrick return for season two. New cast members include Frank Grillo, David Denman, Sol Rodriguez, and Tim Meadows.

Greg Mottola, Peter Sollett, and Althea Jones also direct.
