Wonder Woman has now grossed over $368.5m at the North American box office. That means the film has officially surpassed the North American box office total of super-hit Deadpool. Whilst Saban and Lionsgate continue to discuss a sequel we’re still learning more about this years Power Rangers. Digital 3D sculptor Lindsey Crums has released several images of sculpts made for the Ranger suits in the film including the Green Ranger. Fans who have seen the film will remember that during the films prologue it is revealed that Zordon and Rita were the original Red and Green. Whilst Spider-Man: Homecoming is the story of the weekend – more on that here – there are still a couple of other big films making money at the box office. Remaining in fourth place at the box office Wonder Woman took another $10.1m in North America. It’s domestic gross currently sits at $368.8m well ahead of the $291m of Man of Steel,  $325.1m of Suicide Squad and $330.4m of Batman v Superman. Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures are celebrating today as Spider-Man: Homecoming has opened to an estimated $257m worldwide. Opening in first place in North America the film has taken a reported $117m. Opening to $50.86m on Friday (including around $13m from Thursday previews) the film pulled in a further $37.15m on Saturday. Rounding out the weekend the web sling took in an estimated $29m. Around $10m of that gross comes solely from IMAX screenings. $117m is not only around $20-$30m above studio estimates but it is also the second highest opening ever for a Spider-Man film. It appears that Hellboy has found himself a new home. On film at least. Following previous announcements that a new film – Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen – had found its director and star it appears that a studio is now in the mix to release the film. Splash Report has broken the news that Lionsgate is in final takes to take on Hellboy. The studio is very publically searching for a new hit franchise following the end of The Hunger Games.
