We’ve heard the rumour and now we’ve had confirmation from one of the films stars themselves.
In a recent interview Dave Bautista, who has been incredibly vocal about Disney’s sacking of original director James Gunn, confirmed that Marvel has put the film on ice.
“It’s kind of a strange situation to be in now where we’ve lost our director for Guardians,” he revealed during a recent interview. “Guardians 3 is really up in the air and I don’t know what they’re going to do with it. It’s on permanent hold for now, and that may make a difference in what they do with our characters in Avengers 4. To be honest with you, right now I really don’t know.”
It’s not surprise. The film was due to enter production later this year. With no director the studio is best off putting the film on hold until it can find the right man (or woman) for the job. THere’s no point in rushing out a film which so many already hold in high regard.
We hope the studio is able to resolve its issues soon and get Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 back on track!
