Today marks one year until the release of the sequel to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The Harry Potter spin-off series which proved a moderate hit with general audiences back in 2016. To celebrate this landmark Warner Bros. via the Pottermore website and social media channels announced the title of the film and gave us a first look at its cast. Deadline has just broken the news that 20th Century Fox are developing another X-Men spinoff. Multiple Man is being developed as a starring vehicle for James Franco with Wonder Woman scribe Allan Heinberg penning the script. The site has learnt that long time X-Men producer Simon Kinberg is involved with the project to ensure it forms part of the wider X-Universe. Franco is set to produce via his Ramona Films, the company that Franco runs with brother Dave Franco and Vincent Jolivette. Multiple Man has appeared on film once before in X-Men: The Last Stand where he was played by a pre-Grey’s Anatomy Eric Dane.

20th Century Fox decided to blindside us all today with the release of the teaser trailer for Deadpool 2. Just as excitement (or lack of?) for Justice League reached fever pitch they were able to drop a comedically brilliant surprise. THR are reporting that Sony has secretly been developing a Morbius the Living Vampire film alongside Power Rangers writers Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama. This film joins the currently in production Venom and the upcoming Silver and Black in the world of spin-offs from the new Spider-Man universe.
