Yesterday Disney announced an updated slate of movies for the next few years. This included all of its subsidiaries but it was new from Marvel Studios which has set the internet alight.
Avengers: Infinity War had been set for an April roll out internationally but was not due to hit North America until May. It has now been confirmed that the film will release globally on April 27! That’s a full week earlier for fans in America.
Several new and as-yet-untitled Marvel films have also found themselves on the release schedule. The studio has moved one film from August 7, 2020 to July 31, 2020. And a further six more have been set for the following dates: May 7, 2021; July 30, 2021; November 5, 2021; February 18, 2022; May 6, 2022; and July 29, 2022.
Could some of these be films tied to the merger with 20th Century Fox?

Anthony and Joe Russo direct the film, which is produced by Kevin Feige. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo and Stan Lee are the executive producers. Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely wrote the screenplay. “Avengers: Infinity War” releases in U.S. theaters on May 4, 2018.
