Breaking news from camp ‘Arrow’ this evening. Katie Cassidy will be returning to the show as a regular character in season 6! There’s a catch though, she will be returning as her Earth-2 counterpart Black Siren. Fans of the show will know that Cassidy returned for the first episode after the mid-season break raising hopes that Earth-1 Laurel had been resurrected. That episode ended with Black Siren shipped back to her cell in Central City at Star Labs. Today we’ve got our first official look at Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft! Earlier this year photos from the set of ‘Tomb Raider’ leaked online. Now we have an official look at the character in action and it’s clear where this film is taking its inspiration. From the outfit to the weapons and the location it would see that 2018’s ‘Tomb Raider’ will follow the storyline of the game franchise most recent reboot. ‘Power Rangers’ opening the weekend saw the film soar to an estimated $59.2M worldwide. Studio estimates put the film around the $30-40M mark at the North American box office. After grossing approximately $15M on Friday, the film fell slightly the $14.5M on Saturday before rounding out the weekend with $10.9M on Sunday. Overall its North America opening weekend clocked in at $40.9M The international gross was a little more on the lacklustre side. With CinemaCon currently going on over in the US we knew that Sony Pictures would be presenting on the opening night. Great news for fans of ‘Power Rangers’. The film took an estimated $3.6M from Thursday previews leading to an $15M Friday at the North American box office. Studio Lionsgate had predicted a $30-40M weekend but it would now seem the film may push beyond $42M if it does well on Saturday. The trailer you’ve all been waiting for is finally here! The first true ‘Justice League’ trailer dropped from Warner Bros. a couple of hours ago. Giving us our first looks at Amber Heard as Mera, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon and returning Amy Adams as Lois Lane it’s an action packed two-and-a-half minutes. Just when fans thought that a Superman reveal was the next logical step Warner Bros. went and pulled a ‘Justice League’ shaped surprise. After debuting character posters and teaser videos for each League member it seemed Superman was the only one left to show.
