As the war against the undead continues more and more viewers are turning off from The Walking Dead.
According to the latest viewing figures for North America Sunday’s episode, “The Lost and the Plunderers,” drew a mere 2.9 rating among adults 18 to 49. The equates to 6.8 million actual viewers in the Nielsen Live+Same Day numbers. Variety reported the last time an episode drew less than a 3.0 rating was the episodes “Wildfire” in season 1 with a 2.8 rating.
This weeks episode also marked the first time the series fell under 7 million viewers since season 2.
It’s nothing new for a series to show a decline in ratings over its lifespan but The Walking Dead was such a rating juggernaut that we can’t help but notice the decline as it continues. Are you still watching the show? What do you think of the current season?
