It’s with great sadness that we bring you the news Stan Lee has passed away. The co-creator of Marvel was 95 years old. Confirming the news his daughter, JC Lee, said her father was “the greatest, most decent man”. Lee and Jack Kirby founded Marvel Comics in 1961, beginning with The Fantastic Four and going on to create titles such as Spider-Man and The Incredible Hulk. According to sources Lee passed away at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Monday following a medical emergency at home. Rest in peace Stan. Excelsior. Surprise! Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for Detective Pikachu and we can guarantee it’s not what you were expecting. The two-and-a-half-minute trailer really gives a flavour of what to expect when the movie lands in theatres in May next year. A new report found by ComicBookMovie may have revealed Aquaman’s runtime. The site picked up on an eagle-eyed fan on twitter posting regional release info for the movie. As you can see in the tweet below the image appears to detail all the technical specifications for the movies release. Part of that includes a runtime listed as 143mins (2hrs 23). If this is correct that would make the runtime similar to that of Man of Steel and Wonder Woman. Following that huge opening day, Venom has had a great weekend at the Chinese box office. The movie has taken an estimate $111M over the course of the weekend. That’s the second biggest opening for a superhero movie in the territory. The Chinese opening record for a superhero movie is of course held by Avengers: Infinity War. That movie took $191M in its opening weekend earlier this year. Venom also becomes the fifth-highest opening for a non-Chinese movie.
