The Batwoman TV series is gearing up to begin production on its pilot. Directed by David Nutter the pilot is expected to shoot in early Spring with a view to the series debuting later in the year. Overnight a very familiar face to fans of DCTV has announced that they have joined the cast. The cast and crew of Gotham were recently on hand to present footage from the series finale. At a special Television Critics Association panel in celebration of the series it was also revealed just how 17 year-old David Mazouz will suit up as The Dark Knight. While the young actor’s face will be under the cowl and we will indeed hear his voice and “Batman growl,” the suit itself is going to be worn by someone else. With the prequel series set to begin production in Summer HBO is gearing up to ensure the franchise has a long term plan for the future. Following a plethora of set photos of Margot Robbie it’s now Jurnee Smollett-Bell’s turn to take the spotlight. Overnight a whole host of set photos from Birds of Prey have surfaced online. The actress was spotted filming a sequence on the streets of Gotham where she cases after a cop car. The costume seems to confirm that a scene thought to be Harley Quinn in the announcement video is in fact on of Black Canary’s daytime outfits. When we last saw Maggie on The Walking Dead she was disappearing off into the sunset around the time of Andrew Lincoln’s departure. Actress Lauren Cohan departed the show following a well documented dispute of the pay gap between herself and her male co-stars. Cohan will now star alongside Scott Foley in ABC’s Whiskey Cavalier, a globe trotting, spy dramedy. After plenty of casting news, HBO programming president, Casey Bloys, has finally announced when the Game of Thrones prequel still begin production. Speaking to EW Bloys said production will film through the summer of 2019. The network is currently targeting a 2020 and possibly 2021 release date for the series. It is rumoured a writers room has been setup in the event that the network decides to order addition episodes beyond the current planned run.
