Yes, it’s the Super Bowl which means two things… Sports and trailers. Can you guess which one we are more excited for? A little while ago, Prime Video released a cryptic message about a new trailer for their ambitious The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power series. The message contained some Elvish writing. As expected, it didn’t take fans long to translate the message to English. The message read: “Teaser trailer arrives February 13th.” Which is of course, the Super Bowl. Here we are people… The moment we have all been waiting for. Our first official trailer for The Rings of Power.
Check it out now!
We’ve been waiting for an official trailer for what feels like an entire age. Now that we have one, it feels so good to have a better idea of what this show will look like. As the most expensive TV series in history, we finally know what sort of show we’re dealing with. Excited? Worried? Optimistic? For a world as big as Tolkien’s, it is perfectly normal to have these feelings. With the trailer now out in the open, what are you thoughts now? Be sure to let us know in the comments.
Amazon Studios’ forthcoming series brings to screens for the very first time the heroic legends of the fabled Second Age of Middle-earth’s history. This epic drama is set thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, and will take viewers back to an era in which great powers were forged, kingdoms rose to glory and fell to ruin, unlikely heroes were tested, hope hung by the finest of threads, and the greatest villain that ever flowed from Tolkien’s pen threatened to cover all the world in darkness.
According to the showrunners and executive producers J.D. Payne & Patrick McKay, “The Rings of Power unites all the major stories of Middle-earth’s Second Age: the forging of the rings, the rise of the Dark Lord Sauron, the epic tale of Númenor, and the Last Alliance of Elves and Men.”
