    Synopsis

The cataclysmic crossover between the DCU and Legendary’s Monsterverse continues!

The Justice League have regrouped after their initial losses and discover nefarious plans by the Legion of Doom AND the League of Assassins are underway to use the Monsters for their evil purposes.

As Lois Lane uncovers truths about the monster’s identities, the League also learns of a beacon that’s drawing all the creatures to one location… the final battle to save Earth is about to begin!

    Review

After the previous events left Superman in a state of suspension close to his death the Justice League must race against time to stop the Legion of Doom and save Superman. Lois Lane has joined the ranks and is straight to work putting her investigative experience to good use as she unearths some vital information on the monsters that Toyman unleashed into the universe starting a monumental battle between the colossal beings.

In what is probably the biggest battle the Justice League has faced turns treacherous as the heroic faction must split into groups that will enable them to hopefully divide and conquer the different threats they are facing. Shazam is deeply troubled about the situation that Superman is in and blames himself fully for putting him there and is determined to seek revenge on the Legion of Doom but they have grown in numbers with more villains joing their ranks making them far stronger and a one man wrecking mission would be potential suicide and the voice of reason from Batman is falling on deaf ears as Shazam has only one thing on his mind.

For now some of the monsters are being kept under control deep under water but the dome is beginning to crack Green Lantern is trying his best to keep the dome from falling apart but his powers can only do so much, the Green Lantern Corp are at hand to help this is rapidly turning into a all hands on deck situation, all working together for the greater good. But as all this is going on Lex Luger is getting more and more powerful, you are used to seeing Justice League always coming out on top but at this point the light of hope is beginning to diminish.

Another great issue of this crossover event, Brian Buccellato writes an intense ride that leaves you breathless at the last page a thrill ride on a colossal level. This has been a series that I never knew I wanted and didn’t even think would happen but it works so well together three of the biggest comic book names collide for a series like no other.

The illustrations of this scale of epic event need to be of an epic level and that’s exactly what the creative team have done. Christian Duce brings out the big guns and provides some of the most amazing artwork I’ve seen in comics, the battle scenes between the monsters were mind blowing especially the underwater scenes.

This series has been exciting from the first issue and throughout, each issue has blown me way all leading up to the finale issue which I can’t wait to see, the fight between good and evil has never been so out of balance.

    Verdict

Breathtaking from start to finish, an incredible story that is set to explode in the finale. A cross over you may not have ever thought about but you definitely need to get involved with. Almost creative perfection.
