Synopsis

In this issue we follow Gunslinger Spawn as the Hell Spawn continue the quest to Hell’s throne and finally reuniting Spawn with his one true love, but at what cost? and is his judgement beginning to be clouded by his heart?
A meeting with the mysterious Shaman to gather information Gunslinger needs to hunt the list for those who were involved with Amy and who made it alive to this time through the tear, the journey Gunslinger embarks on takes him to a face to face meeting with an old foe, but all is not what it seems and Gunslinger could well be walking into a trap which may well bring him face to face with his toughest test yet.
If you need to get a bit of intense action in your life then you just have to pick up a story written by Todd McFarlane, the best in the business by a long shot and being the creator of the Spawn world thean knows exactly what direction to go and this shows. Sometimes you find that off shoot titles aren’t as strong as the main title, however the stories from the Spawn world are just all getting bigger and bigger. Gunslinger Spawn is definitely one of my favourite characters and I love seeing him grow with strength of character throughout this story.
The illustrations of Gunslinger Spawn are phenomenal, Brett Booth has produced, in my opinion, some of his best work elevating this story to the next level. Brett has captured the essence of the Spawn world perfectly giving an action packed albeit quite gorey visual experience that packs a knock out punch.
Verdict
There’s no denying that I’m a big fan of the Spawn franchise. Gunslinger is one of, if not THE best on going series in comics this year. Todd McFarlane proves he is the Godfather of comics with the path the Spawn multiverse continues to take.
