True Brit Entertainment has confirmed plans for the UK release of A24’s The Death of Robin Hood starring Hugh Jackman. The film will release in UK cinemas on September 2, 2026.
Set firmly in its time, the story follows Robin Hood, a lone and weary figure haunted by a life of crime and bloodshed, who is gravely injured after what he believes to be his final battle. Isolated and near death, he falls into the hands of a mysterious woman who offers him something he has never known: a chance at reckoning, redemption and salvation.

The film is written and directed by Michael Sarnoski (Pig, A Quiet Place: Day One), is a dark and visceral reimagining of the legendary outlaw. Starring Hugh Jackman (Deadpool & Wolverine, The Greatest Showman), Jodie Comer (Killing Eve, 28 Days Later), Bill Skarsgård (IT, Nosferatu), Murray Bartlett (The White Lotus, Opus) and Noah Jupe (A Quiet Place Part II, Hamnet).
The Death of Robin Hood will release in UK cinemas from September 2, 2026.
