A quick rumour on Stranger Things 4 to get you all hyped up for the potential next series. Despite Netflix not formally announcing that the show will return for season four, Production Weekly podcast (via Bloody Disgusting) is reporting that the streaming giant is planning to start production on the latest series in October 2019. Very little is known about Amazon Prime’s upcoming Lord of the Rings series at this stage. It was recently announced that Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom director J.A. Bayona is taking on the first couple of episodes but beyond that we know very little about our return to Middle Earth. Darren Lynn Bousman’s new Saw reboot only started filming a couple of weeks ago, but word from Lionsgate today is that they’re vacating their Halloween 2020 release date, and moving the movie up five months(!), in favour of a summer release on May 15, 2020. During the Star Trek Universe panel at San Diego Comic Con we finally got a first look at new animated series Lower Decks. Despite earlier confirming that The Orville was renewed for a third season we’ve learned the series has now found itself a new home. Variety is reporting that the 20th Century Fox production will be moving from its home with the FOX Broadcasting Company to a new home with Hulu. The move makes sense given than Disney now owns the lions share of Hulu as well as owning the production company behind the series. Marvel Studios brought the house down in Hall H at San Diego Comic Con on Saturday.
