It’s been a while since we had an update on Rian Johnson’s Star Wars trilogy. Sad news for movie fans today as District 9 director Neill Blomkamp has confirmed he is exiting the upcoming Robocop reboot at MGM. It was announced in late 2018 that Blomkamp had signed on to direct the reboot which is currently in scripting stage. Original franchise writers Ed Neumeier and Michael Miner are returning to serve as producer and executive producer on RoboCop Returns.
