Whilst we wait for an update on the premiere of Star Trek: Picard season 2, publisher Simon & Schuster has some exciting news for us. The long-time Trek publisher has announced a brand new audio drama starring two of the show’s most famous faces.
Star Trek: Picard: No Man’s Land will feature the voices of Michelle Hurd (Raffi) and Jeri Ryan (Seven of Nine) in a new adventure set in the world of the Paramount+ and Prime Video series.
According to the below synopsis, the drama will bridge the gap between seasons and focus on the burgeoning relationship between the two characters.
While Seven of Nine and Raffi are enjoying some much needed R&R in Raffi’s remote hideaway, their downtime is interrupted by an urgent cry for help: A distant, beleaguered planet has enlisted the Fenris Rangers to save an embattled evacuation effort. As Seven and Raffi team up to rescue a mysteriously ageless professor whose infinity-shaped talisman has placed him in the deadly sights of a vicious Romulan warlord, they take tentative steps to explore the attraction depicted in the final moments of Picard season one.
The drama is being written by Picard co-creator and writer Kirsten Beyer along with Mike Johnson, a veteran writer of Star Trek comics. The supporting cast for No Man’s Land will include voice cast includes Fred Tatasciore (Star Trek: Lower Decks), John Kassir (Tales from the Crypt), and John Cutmore-Scott (Deception). As with any Trek audio drama there will be plenty of notable sound effects from the live-action series.
Star Trek: Picard: No Man’s Land will be released on February 22nd. You can pre-order on Audible.
