Yesterday we brought you the first poster for Black Panther. Overnight as promised Marvel Studios and Disney released the films first teaser trailer. Though the film isn’t due for release until February 2018 the trailer is still packed with almost two minutes of footage. We get glimpses of the city of Wakanda as well as many of its inhabitants including those played by Michael B. Jordan, Angela Bassett and Danai Gurira. It’s been a good week at the box office for Wonder Woman. After a record breaking opening weekend the film has continued to dominate the box office in North America. After an $11.7m Monday the Patty Jenkins film took $14.3m on Tuesday, $9.3m on Wednesday and an estimated $9.2m on Thursday. Its North American gross is currently sitting at $147.8m! Predictions for its second weekend frame range from the low $50m to potentially over $60m. Surprise! Marvel has unveiled the first theatrical poster for Black Panther. The artwork which you can see below features T’Challa as played by Chadwick Boseman who first appeared in Captain America: Civil War. In releasing the poster Marvel also confirmed that the first teaser trailer will also air on US TV tonight. Here in the UK we will likely be waking up to the trailer first thing tomorrow. After a tense wait over the weekend the news is in. Wonder Woman is a rousing success both at home and internationally. The film was able to capitalise on its fresh rating from Rotten Tomatoes and exceed studio estimates of $65-$75m. Wonder Woman opened to previews in the US on Thursday taking $11m, combined with Friday grosses the film had a $38.7m opening day. Saturday brought in an estimated $35.8m and rounding out the weekend was Sunday with $26m. In total estimates have the film opening to the tune of $101.5m. Today is the day! Wonder Woman is finally in cinemas across the UK from this morning. There’s still another 24 hours for our friends in the US to wait until they can see the film but don’t worry we won’t spoil it for you. Yesterday we brought you the wonder-ful (get it?) news that Wonder Woman was proving to be a hit with film critics. Hovering between a score of 95% and 96% on Rotten Tomatoes the film was soaring above the rest of the DCEU and even the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Over the course of the day yesterday the positive reviews continued to roll. At the time of writing the film currently holds a 97% fresh rating based on 72 reviews. 70 of those reviews are classed as positive and only 2 as negative. Interesting news from the DCEU camp this morning. No we don’t mean those Wonder Woman reviews. Producer Charles Roven (The Dark Knight Trilogy, Justice League) has been discussing the setting for 2018’s Aquaman. “Aquaman will make reference [to Justice League].
