The official figures for the three-day weekend in North America has risen to $202m! With the Monday estimate of $33m that means that the four-day holiday weekend opening is approximately $235m. A new rumour courtesy of Aquaman Shrine has brought us a small update on the character of Mera. In DC Comics New 52 era we know that Mera’s father promised her hand in marriage to king Nereus of Atlantis. The character falls helplessly in love with Arthur putting the two men at odds. Now this rumour points to Nereus being the father of Mera in James Wan’s Aquaman. We have little information to go on other than the rumour itself. The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers are celebrating their 25th anniversary this year. 25 seasons of adapting the Super Sentai series for the American market, 3 movies and countless toys and comics books and the franchise is still going strong. With each new trailer Ready Player One has begun to look more and more like a truly compelling movie. Say what you will about Justice League but Warner Bros./DC Comics are certainly learning to poke fun at themselves. In the first trailer for Teen Titans Go! To The Movies we saw the heroes all dress as Wonder Woman whilst poking fun at their own grown up counterparts. Following the success of the individual character posters released last week Disney/Lucasfilm has now released a full cast poster for Solo: A Star Wars Story. Collecting together the films main cast the poster below follows the theme of the previous releases. Echoing old Hollywood westerns, or perhaps following the success of a similar poster for Logan, this artwork certainly helps give a sense of the films aesthetic. Fans of The Incredibles has been patiently waiting for over a decade for the film to finally get a sequel. When that film was announced last year it was met with rousing applause.
