With previews for Ready Player One playing in theatres next week Warner Bros. is making one last promotional push with a final trailer. Although a lot of this footage has been seen in previous trailers there’s still a  bunch of new shots and quotes from the press praising the film. Tomb Raider hits cinemas today and finally the review embargo has lifted. Whilst the reviews are decidedly mixed, as of writing the films holds a score of 52% on aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes. It gives us no surprise to report that Black Panther has flown past the $1 billion mark at the worldwide box office. Following it’s $22.7m opening day in China the film took a full weekend gross of $66.5m. Overall, the film added an estimated $100m internationally pushing the overseas total to $516.6m for a global tally that now totals $1.078 billion. In North America the film remains number one for a fourth week. The first Marvel Cinematic Universe to hold the number one spot for that length of time. Black Panther continues to dominate the global box office. The film had a huge opening day in China taking an estimated $22.7m. That figure gives it the third-best opening day of all-time in the Middle Kingdom behind only Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War. During the final moments of 2016s X-Men: Apocalypse we saw the cast donning some very comics accurate costumes. With all those cast members returning for the next entry in the franchise fans have been wondering whether those costume would also return.
