Todd McFarlane confirms new SPAWN movie is NOT an origin story

Spawn director Todd McFarlane has confirmed further details about the upcoming franchise reboot.
Following the news that Jamie Foxx will be taking on the lead role McFarlane told Comic Book that the film will not act as an origin for the character.
“Nope. Nope. Nope. I’m not interested in the origin story. I can’t do it. I can’t do it. I’ve seen too many movies that spend way too much time for the set up.”
Looks like instead we’ll be jumping straight in to some full on Spawn action!
