Disney is expected to launch it own streaming service sometime in 2019 and we’ve been hearing plenty of rumours potential content. Gotham fans are used to the series taking some liberties when it comes to costume design. So it will come as no surprise to see that the first official image of Shane West as Bane is more than a little controversial. Following a leaked set photo over the weekend EW released the below official portrait of the character. Gone is his trademark wrestling mask, instead replaced by something a little closer to the Nolanverse mask. Overall the character has a very classic 80s science-fiction movie aesthetic to his look. John Wesley Shipp has played an important role in the DCTV universe dating back to season 1 of The Flash. During one of Barry’s trips through the speed force we saw a brief clip of Shipp’s 90s TV Flash as an easter egg. Now Shipp is returning to the role in the new Elseworlds crossover. Overnight Stephen Amell shared a new photo from the set showing Shipp back in his classic costume alongside Melissa Benoist and Grant Gustin. Luke Cage showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker has tweet in reaction the shows cancellation. Over the weekend it was announced that Netflix was ending the show after just two season. Whilst rumours continue to circulate as to why the series was cancelled Coker was quick to thank everyone involved. Wonder Woman 1984 star Gal Gadot has announced that the movie is changing release dates. The sequel was due to hit cinemas on November 1, 2019 but will instead arrive on the third anniversary of her first solo outing. June 5, 2020. Warner Bros. have also released a short statement on the subject. “We had tremendous success releasing the first Wonder Woman film during the summer so when we saw an opportunity to take advantage of the changing competitive landscape, we did. Though NYCC feels like an age ago we’re still learning more from the world premiere of Titans. Over the weekend TVLine released an excellent interview with the cast and crew discussing the development of various storylines in the show. The BBC has released the trailer for next weeks episode of Doctor Who. Entitled “Arachnids In The UK” the episode brings Jodie Whittaker and her new team back to Sheffield to deal with a spider infestation. A short synopsis for the episode reads: The Doctor, Yaz, Graham and Ryan find their way back to Yorkshire only to find something is stirring amidst the eight-legged arachnid population of Sheffield. Last night Supergirl debuted its second episode of season 4 in North America.
