Amber Heard made her debut as Mera in Justice League. But now in a new interview with EW the actress has discussed how the character has grown before her appearance in Aquaman later this year. “It’s interesting to see how different filmmakers approach the same characters. We got to meet Mera in an introduction and I think Zack’s approach highlighted what you would want to highlight if you were just meeting her as a commanding warrior. “We wanted to honor the comic books,” she continued, “I wanted to stick with how she’s depicted in the comic books in a superficial way, I wanted to…

Yesterday we brought you news of a troubling rumour from the Star Wars camp. Collider was, at the time, reporting that future A Star Wars Story movies were not moving forwards in the wake of Solo: A Star Wars Story failing to set the box office alight. Now Lucasfilm itself has gone on record to say those rumours are not true. ABC reached out to Lucasfilm who referred to the report “inaccurate” and “speculative at best.” In fact, they say there are “multiple” Star Wars films currently in development many of which are yet to be announced. Those movies are expected to move forward separate from Rian Johnson’s new…

Today Deadline is reporting that Gal Gadot might just be turning up at San Diego Comic Con in July with a little surprise for fans. We already know we’ll be getting the first trailer for Aquaman and it’s likely we’ll see the first footage from Shazam also. No news on what she might be bringing with her, however. It’s far too early for a trailer. The film only began shooting in the last two weeks. Most likely she’ll be bringing us a short,…
Following the lacklustre performance of Solo: A Star Wars Story it seems there’s a shakeup over a Disney/Lucasfilm. New rumours point to the studio halting all plans for future spin-off movies. Though we have no official confirmation rumours from Collider are stating that production teams on Obi-Wan Kenobi and the potential Boba Fett movie have been disbanded. It’s unclear at this stage whether this means Disney is considering its options more clearly. Or whether they are abandoning the A Star Wars Story brand altogether. A new rumour from Star Wars News Net also points to further issues in the Star Wars camp. It is said that Disney, bemused by the poor reception to The Last Jedi and Solo are…
The saga continues…. As we had expected Disney has prepared a further counter bid to combat Comcast’s $65 billion cash bid to take over 20th Century Fox. As Fox executives continue to consider the various offers ahead of their upcoming board meeting Disney was preparing to throw a spanner in the works. It is thought that Disney’s new $71.3 billion offer is a mix of both stocks and cash. Here’s a statement from Disney’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Bob Iger: “The acquisition of 21st Century Fox will bring significant financial value to the shareholders of both companies, and after…

Despite stiff competition Black Panther swept the board at this weeks MTV Movie Awards. Whilst Avengers: Infinity War was nominated in the Best Movie, Best Villain and Best Fight categories the film walked away with nothing.
