Great news for fans of 2017’s Power Rangers movie. With the franchise moving to Hasbro it seems the company are keen to develop further movies.
Whilst last years movie was received well by some critics and many fans it failed to set the box office alight. It grossed a disappointing $142.3M worldwide losing many of its investors the cash they had injected in to the project.
That hasn’t deterred Hasbro from planning its future endeavours however. The company recently shared its upcoming business plans with investors including its plans for the Power Rangers franchise once the company takes full control.
Whilst much of the focus will remain on the TV series and the toys there was a brief mention of their movie plans stating that they will be working with “a film studio to develop a new Power Rangers movie as a follow-up to the 2017 release.”
Would you welcome a sequel to last years movie?
