Captain Marvel continues to perform admirably at the worldwide box office. Now a month into its run the movie is edging ever closer to $1bn having hit $990M according to estimates. Over the weekend the movie grossed $20.5M in North America, falling in to third place behind Dumbo ($45M) and Us ($33.6M). Internationally the Marvel Studios release took in an estimated $26.4M.
