Chris Pine is currently on the promotion circuit for new Netflix movie Outlaw King. Recently he was in the UK doing rounds of TV and radio interview when an interesting topic came up. Some casting news for Black Lightning this morning as Power Rangers actor R.J. Cyler has joined the show. It is rumoured that Cyler will be playing a new character by the name of Todd Green. Green is described as “gangly and awkward tech genius who’s passed over for a research grant” and subsequently receives “an offer to join Tobias Whale.” Deadline reports that Cycler will join the series later in season 2. It feels like only days ago we were celebrating Venom crossing the $600M landmark worldwide. Now the movie has officially flown past that and hit $700M! Deadline is reporting that with box office receipts for Monday and Tuesday added on to the total the Ruben Fleischer directed movie has surpassed $700M. It has also propelled Sony Pictures past the $2 billion mark in 2018. When all is said and done Venom may now cross $800M before it ends its run at the worldwide box office. So far Warner Bros. has done an excellent job of promoting Aquaman. Following the highly anticipated first trailer we got the extended look released at New York Comic Con. In the last week we’ve also seen a stunning set of character posters for the movie. Now the studio has released this new three-minute behind-the-scenes featurette for the movie. The six episode season doesn’t have an exact date but at least we have a ballpark figure to count down to.
