A while back, we received our first look at the main 4 characters from Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender. The stills showed us Aang (Gordon Cormier), Katara (Kiawentiio), Sokka (Ian Ousley), and Prince Zuko (Dallas Liu) looking fairly accurate when compared to their original animated form. In terms of adaptation, they’ve absolutely nailed the look. However, we have still yet to see any footage… But that could change next month.
On November 6th to November 12th, Geeked Week returns for the third year in a row. We’ll be bombarded with an array of announcements, sneak peeks, and surprises from some of Netflix’s most anticipated movies, shows, and games. This includes Avatar: The Last Airbender.
To get fans pumped and ready for this retelling of a classic and truly beloved show, Netflix released some brand new images showcasing the characters from the powerful and dangerous Fire Nation. These new images included Fire Lord Ozai (Daniel Dae Kim), General (uncle) Iroh (Paul Sun-Hyung Lee), Azula (Elizabeth Yu), and Commander Zhao (Ken Leung).

It’s an outstanding and rather full cast list. However, someone rather important is missing… Where’s Toph? Perhaps with a potential new trailer on the horizon, we’ll get a fresh look at the characters, as well as the world. Avatar: The Last Airbender is a massive world full of detail and history, so it’ll be interesting to see how the live-action adaptation fairs in telling Aang’s full story from a young boy to the all-powerful Avatar.
