The 2nd season of Frieren may be over, but a new season is on the horizon. Frieren, Fern and Stark will be back in October 2027 for a third season. This upcoming season will be adapting the Golden Land Arc. To celebrate the amazing journey Frieren and co have been on, we had the absolute pleasure of talking to the amazing English dub cast.
Together, we discussed some of our favourite moments (including the absolutely iconic tantrum montage), the voice acting experience, as well as the phenomena that is anime. We’re super excited to share this interview with
Mallorie Rodak– Frieren

Mallorie Rodak is an American voice actress with more than 250 roles in anime, video games, TV series, films, and TV and radio commercials.
She’s best known as the voice of Frieren in the hit anime series Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, for which she was nominated for Best Voice Artist Performance at the 2025 Crunchyroll Awards.
In 2014, she was nominated for Breakthrough Voice Actress of the Year by Behind The Voice Actors. Over her more-than-decade-long career, she’s also been in anime series like One Piece (Kujaku), SPY x FAMILY (Olka Gretcher), Fairy Tail (Yukino), Overlord (SoluDon Epsilon), My Hero Academia (Koki Terumoto), That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime (Great Sage/Raphael), and Fire Force (Woman in Black), to name a few.
Jill Harris– Fern

Jill Harris is an actor and director who has been working in the anime industry for over 10 years. She started out as an anime fan (she was president of her school’s anime club in both middle and high school) before moving to Texas after college to pursue a career at FUNimation (now Crunchyroll). Notable roles include Fern in Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, Noelle Silva in Black Clover, Suletta Mercury in Gundam: The Witch From Mercury, Yuzuriha in Hell’s Paradise, Charlotte Pudding in One Piece, and Nino Nakano in The Quintessential Quintuplets. She also voiced Charlie in the pilot episode of Hazbin Hotel (available on YouTube).
Jordan Dash Cruz as Stark

Jordan Dash Cruz is an actor and director. You can hear him across a multitude of anime titles and videogames such as, Stark in Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, Master Roshi (mini) in Dragon Ball Daima, Temenos in OCTOPATH TRAVELER 2, Aoshi Tokimitsu in BLUELOCK, Taiga Tsugeura in Wind Breaker, Qi Rong in Heaven Official’s Blessing, Leon Fou Bartfort in Trapped in a Dating Sim, Emperor Yatsuura in My Hero Vigilantes, Tierno in Pokemon Masters EX, Senta in Hell’s Paradise, Elijah Knight in The Beginning After the End, Kakeru in MF Ghost, Juan Diaz in Captain Tsubasa: Junior Youth Arc, and more!
