The Straw Hats will be trading the seas of the Grand Line for the sands of Alabasta in the third season of the hit Netflix series One Piece, which now has not only a new subtitle but also a release window of 2027.

Now officially titled One Piece: The Battle of Alabasta, the series will follow on from this years hugely successful second season ‘One Piece: Into the Grand Line’ and will see Monkey D. Luffy, Princess Vivi and the rest of the Straw Hats continue their fight against the Warlord of the Sea Sir Crocodile and his secret organisation Baroque Works and help liberate the Kingdom of Alabasta!

One Piece. (L to R) Taz Skylar as Sanji, Jacob Romero as Usopp, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Emily Rudd as Nami, Charithra Chandran as Miss Wednesday in One Piece. Cr. Sophy Holland/Netflix © 2025

Check out the title reveal trailer in the player below:

Joining the already topped cast we will see the return of newcomers with Charithra Chandran as Nefertari Vivi, Mikaela Hoover as Tony Tony Chopper, Joe Manganiello as Sir Crocodile, Lera Abova as Nico Robin, and Sendhil Ramamurthy as Nefertari Cobra.

Along with them we also have two fan favourite characters joining up with the previously announced Cobra Kai and Blue Beetle Star Xolo Maridueña as Portgas D. Ace and broadway star Cole Escola as dramatic assassin Bon Clay.

Luckily the wait won’t be as long as it was between Seasons one and two with the third dropping sometime in 2027.

Netflix’s live-action adaptation of ONE PIECE is based on Japan’s highest-selling manga series of all time by Eiichiro Oda, with over 100 volumes and 500M copies sold worldwide. The epic high-seas adventure follows Monkey D. Luffy on his quest to find the legendary fabled treasure and become King of the Pirates. The show is created in partnership with Shueisha and is produced by Tomorrow Studios (an ITV Studios partner).

I am an ex Royal Navy sailor who loves all things geek. I have a strong admiration of anime as well as western television shows and movies. From a young age I was into video games as well as TV shows, often spotted in front of a screen somewhere. My goal is to become a screenwriter/director one day and left the Royal Navy after 9 years to better pursue that dream of mine.
