Netflix has debuted a stunning new trailer for Phuong Mai Nguyen’s In Waves. The film, adapted from the graphic novel by AJ Dunho, is set to release in select UK cinemas on November 27, 2026 before streaming exclusively on Netflix beginning December 11.
Set against the sun-soaked surf culture of Southern California, the film, based on a true story, explores the joy of finding your soulmate, the courage it takes to live life to the fullest, and the enduring power of love to shape who we become and what we leave behind.

Based on the graphic novel by AJ Dungo, In Waves is written by Fanny Burdino and Samuel Doux and directed by Phuong Mai Nguyen. The film stars Will Sharpe and Stephanie Hsu.
