The final chapter in Netflix’s Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy is approaching. Kingdom will be crashing onto Netflix on July 29th. So we still have quite a while to wait. But now would be the perfect opportunity to revisit Seige and Earthrise, right? Today, we’re going to give you a very brief recap of both chapters in anticipation for the finale. One post. Two sides. 12 Episodes. Find out everything you need to know before you sit back and watch Kingdom. Autobots, transform and get reading.

    Transformers: War for Cybertron– Seige

This is a story many of us will be familiar with. The homeworld of the Transformers, Cybertron, has been torn apart by a great war between the Autobots and Decepticons. However, this time we’re taken into the very center of the raging war. Interestingly, our introduction into the two opposing factions is a Transformer everyone will recognise. Bumblebee. Although this Bumblebee isn’t the Bee we know and love. He’s on the fence when it comes to the war, taking a neutral stance. Rather than choosing a side, Bee keeps his head down and simply supplies and transport Energon- the Transformers’ life force. Obviously, that doesn’t last. He just needed a nudge. It’s not long before Bumblebee joins Optimus and his comrades in the fight that will change everything.

While Optimus tends to his wounded soldiers, Megatron schemes away. In order to rule Cybertron and eradicate the Autobot threat, Megatron must claim the Allspark. But when the Autobots learn of Megatron’s plan thanks to Ultra Magnus, it’s a race against the clock. In a desperate bid to keep the Allspark away from the Decepticons, Optimus comes up with a plan that will doom Cybertron but save the Universe from Megatron’s tyrannical reign. While the conflict intensifies, Bumblebee is given the great (but also unwanted) honor of being the next Alpha Trion-The harborer of all of the Autobot’s history. And with this, Bumblebee enters the war as an Autobot and keeper of sacred knowledge.

As Part One comes to an end, Optimus’ plan to launch the Allspark into their repaired Spacebridge commences. Old rivals clash and the war reaches an entirely new level. Unfortunately, there are no real victors in this battle. After an intense confrontation with Megatron, Optimus successfully rips the Allspark from Megatron’s grasp and launches it into the void. A small band of Autobots follow the Allspark on the Ark, leaving Elita-1 and the remaining Autobots to face Megatron’s terrible wrath.

    One shall stand…

    Transformers: War for Cybertron– Earthrise

With Optimus and the Allspark gone, Megatron reigns victorious. Cybertron is now his. But as the Decepticons continue their onslaught, it soon becomes clear that Megatron’s victory is somewhat temporary. Cybertron is dying… And it’s happening very quickly. Luckily, there are still a few heroes left on Cybertron. Elita-1 and her comrades continue to push the Decepticon forces back but soon learn a terrible truth. To fuel Megatron’s Nemesis Project, a huge galactic ship that will allow Megatron to pursue Optimus and the Allspark, the Decepticons begin sacrificing expendable robots- both Autobot and Decepticon. Ripping the spark out of each Transformer to fuel a ship… This could be Megatron’s most sickening and desperate scheme yet.

You can all guess where the Allspark landed. With both factions discovering that the Allspark is located on a Prehistoric Earth, a race to claim its power ensues. However, things take a surprising turn when both Optimus and Megatron are shown visions of a potential future. Sky Lynx, a legendary Transformer, shows Optimus a glimpse of the carnage that awaits him if Megatron wins. Galvatron, on the other hand, lets Megatron know that the key to success lies within the Matrix of Leadership- their conversation is cut short by the presence of Unicron. With both leaders imbued by a greater purpose, their resolve and dedication is empowered exponentially.

    One shall fall…

Optimus and Megatron clash once again. But before Optimus can deal the killing blow Megatron takes the Matrix of Leadership and escapes. Doubledealer and his mercenaeries soon arrive through the rift. But since Doubledealer was the one who helped Megatron find the Autobots, Starscream believes the mercenaries are here to help them snuff out their enemy. Oh, how wrong he is. We soon discover that Doubledealer is being manipulated by a Quintesson called Deseeus, who actually wants to end the Transformer war simply by eradicating all Transformers. With that, the Mercenary ship explodes next to the Ark and Nemesis, sending the burning debris down to earth. A lone dinosaur watches from the surface but this particular dinosaur soon takes on a more mechanical form…

And there we have it. Sure, it’s not the most detailed summary but it will be enough. You’ll be 100% prepared for the final chapter when it airs towards the end of the month. Kingdom pretty much follows immiately on from the cliffhanger ending we got in Earthrise. Both ships plummet to the earth and the war takes a complicated turn when additional factions join the fray.

Not quite sure what to expecr from Kingdom? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Here is a very brief summary of the epic finale that awaits us.

    Transformers: War for Cybertron– Kingdom

Now the Autobots must team up with the Maximals to confront the Decepticons, who have joined forces with the Predacons, in the race to find the missing AllSpark. However, the Predacons are in control of the Golden Disk, a mysterious artifact which has a personal connection to Megatron and gives him an untold advantage over his enemy, Optimus Prime. Which faction will triumph in the final battle that will decide the fate of Cybertron’s future?

Check out the epic new trailer for Kingdom below:

Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy – Kingdom is coming to Netflix on July 29th. You won’t want to miss this epic conclusion. Are you excited to see the final chapter in the War for Cybertron trilogy? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

It only makes sense to stay on the topic of Maximals and Predacons so make sure you catch up on the latest from Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, the seventh film in the Transformers franchise.
