There is still a lot we don’t know about the third Spider-Man movie. Well actually, we know next to nothing. We don’t know the title, the plot, the villain, and we’re still unsure which casting rumors are true. Will Alfred Molina be back as Doc Ock? and will we see Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield return back as web slingers? We don’t have a clue.
However, Tom Holland had something very interesting to say about the third movie. Given his history of accidentally revealing spoilers, Holland seems to be working pretty hard not to let anything important slip. But that hasn’t stopped him from teasing us. Far from it, actually.
Check out what Holland had to say about his upcoming adventure.
“I can say that it’s the most ambitious standalone superhero movie ever made. You sit down, read the script, and see what they’re trying to do, and they’re succeeding. It’s really impressive. I’ve never seen a standalone superhero movie quite like it,”
It’s hard to predict what this is referring to. Especially given the little information we have about the film. What is interesting though, is Tom’s Instagram.
According to the post, this particular day of filming was a highlight of his career. Now, this could be down to just having his brother Harry involved in the project. It was an incredibly sweet thing to see and we bet that it was a lot of fun, but there is another possibility… it could tie in nicely with what Tom said above.
Given the current rumors floating around, it’s hard to deny that this Spider-Man film is looking pretty ambitious. This could be a good thing… or a bad thing. We’ve seen what happens when you throw too much into a Spider-Man movie. Given that this is the MCU, we have a lot of faith.

Directed once again by John Watts, the Untitled Spider-Man 3 film will hit screens December 17, 2021.
