Last night we brought you the news that Alfred Molina is now confirmed to return as Doctor Octopus for Spider-Man 3. The news signalled final confirmation that all three generations of Spider-Man on film are coming together for this latest entry. Well now we have even more exciting news for fans of the wall crawler…
According to Collider’s Jeff Sneider we’re about to get final confirmation on not one but TWO classic live-action Spider-Men and their leading ladies. It appears that the duos of Andrew Garfield & Emma Stone plus Tobey Maguire & Kirsten Dunst will be returning.
Collider understands that Garfield and Dunst are done deals whilst Maguire is in final talks. It is “expected” that Emma Stone will be on hand as Gwen Stacey.
Whilst little is known about the story at this stage we do know that without Tony Stark as his mentor, Peter Parker (Tom Holland) will have Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange on hand for advice.
Directed once again by John Watts, the Untitled Spider-Man 3 film will hit screens December 17, 2021.
