The apocalypse hasn’t been cancelled just yet. Nope. Far from it actually. Netflix has released a first look at the upcoming anime series that will expand the Pacific Rim universe.
Pacific Rim: The Black takes us to Australia and follows two siblings who use a long-abandoned Jaegar to search for their missing parents. Of course, they’ll meet some Kaiju’s along the way.

There was a time when Kaiju rose from the Pacific Rim only to encounter gigantic robots, Jaegers, built to fight them back. That time has passed. Now, Australia has been overrun by Kaiju, forcing the evacuation of an entire continent. Left behind, teenage siblings Taylor and Hayley embark on a desperate search for their missing parents, teaching themselves to pilot a battered, long-abandoned Jaeger to help in their quest and give them even the slightest hope of surviving.

Pacific Rim: The Black doesn’t have an official release date as of yet. However, it is due out sometime in 2021. Keep your eyes peeled for some new images and hopefully a trailer sometime in the future.
