After a successful debut, DC’s Stargirl has officially been renewed for a second season. But there’s a caveat. The series will move from its original home of DC Universe to become an exclusive of The CW.
News broke last night that Warner Bros., DC Comics and The CW had come to agreement to continue the series for a second season. But in announcing the news it was confirmed that the once DC Universe exclusive series would be moving homes.
DC’s Stargirl debuted strong with 1.2M viewers on The CW and has held on to the majority of that audience across each of the last seven weeks. The series currently releases episodes on Monday’s on DCU before airing on The CW on Tuesday’s.

The show stars Brec Bassinger in the title role. Luke Wilson is playing S.T.R.I.P.E., alongside Joel McHale (Starman), Lou Ferrigno Jr. (Hourman), Henry Thomas (Dr. Mid-Nite), and Brian Stapf (Wildcat). Neil Hopkins (Sportsmaster), Joy Osmanski (Tigress), and Nelson Lee (Dragon King) will portray members of the Injustice Society.
