    Synopsis

A legacy that began in Go Go Power Rangers finally converges here as CHARGE TO 100 reaches its milestone issue—and kicks off brand new beginnings! Rangers fans will not want to miss Ryan Parrott’s FINAL issue on the main series, joined by a superstar lineup of returning artists including such iconic illustrators Eleonora Carlini, Francesco Mortarino, Daniele Di Nicuolo, Dan Mora, Hendry Presetya, and Miguel Mercado.

News of a deathly threat reaches the team—one that threatens every Ranger and everyone else in the entire Universe. As the climactic battle against unspeakable enemies unfolds, the lines between friend and foe blur, and difficult decisions await even the strongest of Rangers.

    Review

The main event that all Power Rangers fans have been waiting for is finally here! The epic Charge to 100 arc reaches its landmark conclusion. Issue #100 is the peak of the multiverse mountain as the Death Ranger begins their deadly mission to take over our universe in what may well be the Rangers’ toughest test.

The Death Ranger has taken over the minds and bodies of the Omega Rangers, finding a physical host has allowed the Death Rangers to grow stronger than ever before. The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers must now find what makes them Rangers and stand up and fight in a battle that will take everything they have both physically and mentally. The very fate of the universe hangs on a knife edge and the stakes have never been higher. With a battle ahead of them that could potentially change the course of the Power Rangers multiverse as we know it, the journey of issue #100 will turn the gamut of emotions and grip you until the bitter end.

For an issue as important as this one there was only one writer you could give that task to and that could only be Ryan Parrott. Throughout the different series’ from the Ranger multiverse, Ryan’s stories are always those that grip the most. Each written word is powerful and has deep meaning, creating a story that is emotionally driven and gives the reader everything you could possible want from a Power Rangers story. Issue #100 is probably the one comic I have been looking forward to the most and it didn’t disappoint. I held my breath throughout, waiting for a moment to exhale and exclaim “WOW!”. When you finish reading issue #100, there’s no doubt that you’ve just read the most epic issue of 2022.

An issue of this magnitude needs an artistic team that will take it to another level. For weeks BOOM! has been announcing returning artists from previous arcs as well as superstar guests. It’s clear that BOOM! has formed an artistic super group who has come together to create an artistic masterpiece. I was utterly blown away by the team flows throughout the book, echoing every era of the 100-issue journey. In the main, it is a visual explosion that invigorates the readers imagination and at the later stages of the book you see the different artistic styles of the team come through to great effect.

    Verdict

When you wait for something to come for so long there is always that concern that it won’t live up to the expectations. This issue exceeded every expectation that I had and then some. Unfortunately this is Ryan’s last main story in the Ranger multiverse and what a way to go and I am sure his legacy in the world of Power Rangers will live on. This book is a piece of comic perfection and every Power Rangers fan needs to grab themselves a copy.
