Spider-Man: Brand New Day climbs to new heights with a Number 1 debut.
Tom Holland returns as Peter Parker for his fourth solo Spider-Man adventure, picking up four years after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home. With the world no longer remembering Peter Parker, he has thrown himself fully into life as Spider-Man – but isolation and the pressure of watching his former friends move on without him begin to take their toll. When a powerful new threat emerges in New York, Peter faces a transformation that could prove key to stopping an enemy no one can even see. The film also stars Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal and Mark Ruffalo.
Former chart-topper Toy Story 5 makes a strong re-entry at Number 2, bringing Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie and the gang back into the upper reaches of the countdown.
There’s another major new arrival at Number 3, as PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie roars into the Top 3. The pups crash-land on a mysterious dinosaur island, where they meet dino-expert pup Rex. But when Mayor Humdinger’s latest scheme triggers a huge volcanic eruption, the PAW Patrol must team up with their prehistoric new friends for one of their biggest rescues yet.
Minions & Monsters also makes a big comeback this week, re-entering the Official Film Chart at Number 4.
At Number 5, horror franchise Insidious scores a new Top 5 entry with Insidious: Out of the Further. Amelia Eve stars as Gemma, a young mother who discovers she is able to enter The Further – the terrifying realm of lost souls at the centre of the Insidious universe. Her abilities soon prove even more dangerous than expected when she realises she can bring entities from The Further back into the real world, attracting the attention of forces desperate to exploit her power.
There’s more Spider-Man action at Number 6, as the Spider-Man: 4-Movie Collectionmakes its chart debut, bringing together Tom Holland’s four solo outings as the web-slinger – from Homecoming through to this year’s Brand New Day.
Former Number 1 Disclosure Day falls five places to Number 7, while last week’s chart-topper Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu drops seven places to Number 8.
A second PAW Patrol release joins the countdown at Number 9, with the PAW Patrol: 3-Movie Collection bringing together the pups’ big-screen adventures in one set, including their latest prehistoric mission in The Dino Movie.
Finally, Michael climbs three places from Number 13 to re-enter at Number 10, continuing the Michael Jackson biopic’s long-running presence on the Official Film Chart.
