Icon Film Distribution has announced that UK 4K debut for Christopher Smith’s pitch black comedy horror Severance, starring Danny Dyer (Rivals). The film is set to release on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD on October 20, 2025.

The iconic pitch-black comedy horror is released for the first time as a stunning 4K double-disc Collector’s Edition, packed with more than 3.5 hours of bonus content, including two new interviews with director Christopher Smith and actor Andy Nyman, plus exclusive A3 poster and art cards.

Watch the film’s red band trailer in the player below:

UK horror director Smith followed up his debut film, the London Underground-set Creep, with Severance, an outrageously entertaining cross between The Office and Deliverance, with a team-building trip in a remote forest going very very wrong. Dyer is outstanding as office lout Steve, with Laura Harris (Scaredy Cats, The Faculty), Tim McInnerny (One Day, Notting Hill, Game of Thrones), Toby Stephens (Die Another Day, 13 Hours), and BAFTA-nominee Andy Nyman (Judy, Ghost Stories, Kick-Ass 2) also on top form.

Described by Total Film as ‘a horror-comedy for fans of Shaun of the Dead and An American Werewolf in London’, Severance is wickedly funny, gloriously gruesome, and endlessly rewatchable – the film is full of out there set pieces and some truly jaw-dropping, head-lopping moments (it also features one of the most unexpected and hilarious closing lines since Some Like It Hot). Watch it like your job depends on it!

Working nine to five is a real killer, but team-building holidays can be even worse. Seven colleagues find themselves faced with the chop when their corporate weekend is sabotaged by a deadly enemy. Forget office politics, only the smartest will survive this bloody office outing. A team-building weekend in the wilds of Eastern Europe descends into a deadly nightmare as the Palisade Defence team are pitched into a fight for survival against a forgotten army of bloodthirsty maniacs. If the team can survive the bear traps and treacherous pits long enough to show their guts instead of losing them, they may learn that getting slaughtered with workmates isn’t always a good idea.

4K and Blu-ray special features include:

●Feature Commentary with Cast and Crew

●New Interviews with Writer/Director Christopher Smith, and Andy Nyman

●Eight Featurettes, including The Making of ‘Severance’, Being Danny Dyer, and Not So Special Effects

    ●Behind the Scenes Footage

    ●Deleted Scenes & Outtakes

    • And much more!
