Dark Horse Books presents Red & Blue: Monster Hunters, a new middle grade graphic novel adventure from acclaimed comics creator Sara Soler. Written and illustrated by Soler (Us, Season of the Bruja), lettered by Joamette Gil (Castaways, Time Traveler Tales), and translated to English for the first time by Silvia Perea Labayen (Castaways, Us), this heroic story about two monster hunters who grapple with the morality of their work will be available in stores in the fall of 2025.

After waiting months and months to get their shot at being real heroes, Red and Blue join an excursion to take down a dragon that’s been terrorizing local inhabitants. But when they enter the creature’s mountain stronghold, they discover the truth behind the operation’s purpose: the head of the hero corporation, Slayer, Inc., is out to capture a valuable and highly endangered giant chicken that lays golden eggs. Red and Blue

have to choose between doing what’s right in trying to save the chicken and her baby and following orders to secure their places among the ranks of professional heroes.

“Red & Blue was my first story entirely written and drawn by myself,” said Soler. “I’m very fond of it, not only because it’s my first, but because it contains so much of myself. Being a young woman facing the world alone for the first time is no small feat, and Red and Blue are going to have a really tough time, just like I did, pursuing what they’re truly passionate about: being great heroines! I hope you enjoy this story as much as I did creating it.”

Red & Blue: Monster Hunters will be available in bookstores and comic shops on December 9 and 10, 2025. It is now available to pre-order at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and your local comic shop and bookstore for $14.99.
