Over the weekend THR has reported that several more cast members have boarded Warner Bros. upcoming Mortal Kombat movie. Joining the previous announced Mehcad Brooks, Sisi Stringer, Joe Taslim and Tadanobu Asano will be The Meg actress Jessica McNamee taking on the role of Sonya Blade and Josh Lawson (House of Lies) as Kano. It has also been reported that Lewis Tan (Deadpool 2) is in final negotiations to join the movie though his role is currently undisclosed. During the D23 convention over the weekend we got a LOT of news from the Star Wars Universe. But one reveal may have been heavily overlooked by the press. During the main Star Wars panel a timeline was shown off which puts all movies, animated series and upcoming Disney+ live-action series into one, easy-to-read, infographic. The CW has released another new promo for the upcoming Batwoman series set in the Arrow-verse. The latest trailer features Ruby Rose’s Cate Kane squaring off against Rachel Skarsten as Alice who boldly declares “we’re all mad here.” This is clearly a purposely filmed sequence so there’s no new footage from the show to see but we do get an idea about the relationship between the two characters. Disney+ has confirmed that Ewan McGregor is returning to the Star Wars Universe. Overnight the new streaming giant revealed that an Obi-Wan Kenobi series will enter production in 2020. McGregor was on hand at the D23 convention to confirm the news in person to a crowd of adoring fans. Marvel Studios has added three more series to its upcoming roster for the Disney+ streaming service. It was announced overnight that Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk and Moon Knight will all be coming to the platform between now and 2022.
